Few chefs in the entire world can say that they have had the privilege to serve heads of state, prime ministers, presidents, kings and queens, and luminaries of various nations in five continents. Born in the Philippines where he developed his love for his heritage cuisine. Chef Marvin came from a family of cooks, trained with his uncles, and studied culinary arts at the International School for Culinary Arts & Hotel Management, Center for Culinary Arts in Manila, Philippines, and South Western Sydney Institute, Australia. The cynosure of Chef Marvz's incomparable culinary talent and astronomical, world-class experience routed into on-camera and international exposure and attention. His celebrity chef experience has brought him on shows in the Philippines, South Korea, Australia, and the United States. Most recently, an appearance as a celebrity guest chef on Fuse TV's Struggle Gourmet. Chef Marvz sharpened his world-class skills by serving as Sous Chef de Cuisine for the Royal Family in the United Arab Emirates & Morocco, serving at the Ruler's Palace and presenting, creating menus on the official visits, and leading the team as he traveled around the world with the Royal Family. On his return to the Philippines, his home country, he served as the Celebrity Chef and On-Camera Talent for two of the Philippines' biggest networks on shows such as Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, State of the Nation with Jessica Soho, Ang Pinaka (The Best of All), Umagang Kay Ganda (Beautiful Morning), Unang Hirit (First Voice), iBelieve, Pinas Sarap (Delicious Philippines), South Korea's Channel A, and Asia's Food Channel. He was also the culinary hand-talent for Chowking commercials. Chef Marvz became the guest host in Season 6's Curiosity Got the Chef in Asia's Lifestyle Network and became the celebrity judge for GMA's Kitchen Superstar with Chef Boy Logro & Chef Sandy Daza. He has cooked food and dishes for the likes of Hollywood CEO’s and Producers, Celebrities like Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, Famous DJ Steve Aoki, and some of the Philippines' Brightest Celebrities Coco Martin, Jodi Santamaria, AiAi delas Alas, Vice Ganda, Maricel Soriano, Jaclyn Jose, Iza Calzado, Joey Marquez, Dennis Trillo, Cristine Reyes among many others. It is Chef Marvin's passion for food that fueled his years as a professor of culinary & pastry arts, owned and operated three restaurants, managed country clubs, and owned his own consultancy company for hotels, restaurants, hospitals, shipping lines, catering services, and events while continuing his mission to serve others and supporting the Philippine's Tahan-Tahanan (a halfway home for children with cancer). In 2016, Chef Marvin Aritrangco was awarded the prestigious position and title of the Culinary General of the Philippines by the Department of Tourism. It has since been Chef Marvz's goal to introduce the distinct, unique, and wondrous culinary dishes of the Philippines to the world. Chef Marvin dedicates his time to serving people afflicted with mental health illnesses and the elderly in five different facilities in Southern California, including Zumba, food parties, holiday celebrations, and giving back during the pandemic. Recently, he has been awarded by US Senator Susan Rubio as Culinary Service Director in the Parade of Heroes on the 4th of July, in Los Angeles, California, Filipino-American Frontliners Heroes ‘ (Bayani) Day Awardee given by Assemblywoman Blanca Rubio, Producer Awardee of Historic Filipinotown Festival by Supervisor Hilda Solis, Event Director Awardee by Mayor Eric Garcetti, Program Director and Curator awarded by the Asian American Press Club of the US, and also he has been given the prestigious international recognition Humanitarian Awardee by the World Humanitarian Drive in the United Kingdom. Today, Chef Marvin is a Culinary Service Director, an Executive Chef for a Corporate Dining in Santa Monica, California, a part-time Chef for a 2-Starred Michelin Restaurant in Los Angeles, and a Celebrity Singing Chef. |
